Terms of Service
By accessing or using TAKGRID ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Service Description
TAKGRID provides cloud-based TAK server hosting designed for tactical communication. We offer the following subscription types:
- Dedicated servers — a private TAK server provisioned exclusively for your account on dedicated infrastructure, with full administrative credentials and isolated resources.
- Pay-per-use servers — on-demand TAK server access billed only for the time the server is active, with no ongoing subscription commitment.
- Scout plan — private TAK server access hosted on shared VPS infrastructure. Each Scout seat is fully isolated from other users — your credentials, data, and communications remain private.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to disrupt or interfere with other users, to attempt unauthorized access to TAKGRID systems, or to reverse-engineer any part of the platform.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@takgrid.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Modifications
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Privacy Policy
TAKGRID is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account information: email address and authentication provider.
- Billing information: processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store card details.
- Server configuration and usage metadata.
- Log data: IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Service, send transactional communications, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Data Isolation
Scout plan users share underlying infrastructure, but each seat is completely privately isolated. Credentials, server traffic, and communications are fully separated — no data crosses between teams.
Cookies
We use essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon cancellation, server data is deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. Billing records are retained as required by law.
Billing & Cancellation
Subscriptions
All plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis. Your subscription renews automatically on the same day each month unless cancelled.
Free Trials
- Dedicated servers — new accounts receive a free 6-hour demo before billing begins.
- Scout plan — new accounts receive a free 48-hour trial period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Your server and access remain active through the end of the current billing period. At that point your server and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
Warning: At the end of your billing period, your server and all associated data will be permanently deleted. This process is irreversible and no data recovery will be possible.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you experience a service outage caused by TAKGRID, contact support to discuss credit.
Data & Server Management
Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you store on your TAKGRID server. We do not access, analyze, or share your mission data.
Backups
TAKGRID does not guarantee backups. You are responsible for exporting and maintaining your own backups of critical data.
Administrative Access
For dedicated servers, TAKGRID retains SSH administrative access exclusively for automated service provisioning, system monitoring, and platform operations. SSH keys are encrypted at rest and access is logged.
Service Level
We target 99% monthly uptime. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance where possible. Unplanned outages will be communicated via our status page.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. TAKGRID does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAKGRID shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
In no event shall TAKGRID's total cumulative liability exceed the amount you paid to TAKGRID in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
